<p">Shift Energy, LLC is pleased to announce a recent contract award with County of Merrimack, NH to install a 1,400sf solar hot air system for the Merrimack County Corrections, Boscawen, NH.

The solar hot air system, the Lubi Solar Hot Air collector by Enerconcept Technologies, Inc will be designed to preheat over 13,000cfm of ventilation air during the winter time and will have a payback of 6 yrs or less for the county - even without tax credits!!

The system is being funded via additional remaining funds from a solar hot water project Shift Energy completed earlier in 2011 for the client, along with a grant from the NH PUC for commercial solar thermal systems. It will be installed toward the end of 2011, and will be the first time that large scale solar hot air AND solar hot water will be installed so close together. It will make for a hallmark example of solar thermal technology being put to work to significantly reduce energy consumption.
