Heat Pumps - Comfort & Savings Combined!

Comfort WHERE you want it, WHEN you want it.. with LESS energy

Many homes, businesses and public buildings today are heating with oil, propane or natural gas. These are perfectly good fuel types, but they have one significant limiting factor. They all operate using a centralized method of heating. A "master" boiler or furnace pushes heat through either ductwork or piping into various zones. In the process, there is a lot of wasted heat along the way, and no way to get close to 100% efficient use of the fuel.

Heat pumps operate much differently. Instead of using their fuel source (electricity) to "heat" the room, they use their fuel source to simply transfer or "pump" heat from one area to another (ie. inside to outside, or outside to inside). Refrigerant inside the system undergoes cycles of compression and evaporation as it turns from fluid to gas, and gas to fluid - constantly absorbing and releasing heat.

Highly Flexible

With small indoor units providing heat to spaces, ductless mini-split systems are not only very discrete but are very flexible. Without the need for large ductwork, noisy pipes, boilers and furnaces the units rely on very small refrigerant linesets in some cases as little a 1/4" thick. This makes retrofitting heat pump systems effortless compared to traditional ductwork or radiant baseboard systems which require ceiling modifications or may impact furniture layouts in your room.

Comfort without compromise

Now you can eliminate the hastle of adjusting your thermostat to your ideal level, while battling hot and cold spots in your room or house. Ductless Mini-Splits provide heat only to the rooms that want it, saving tons of energy in the process. At the touch of a remote controlled button, you can adjust complete operation to the exact temperature, air flow, direction of flow and mode of operation that suits you. If you want more heating or cooling on one person, while avoiding it on another - no problem!

It's a degree of control that's impossible to achieve with your radiant baseboard, forced air or centralized heating systems.

Save Money

Even if you're energy costs have dropped, now is an ideal time to use those energy savings to switch to heat pumps. With more than half the operating cost of heating oil & propane for heating systems and 1/3rd the cost of conventional window air conditioning systems, the savings can be tremendous.

For instance, in many commercial applications where distribution systems are far more complex and central heating systems are often significantly oversized, the savings from heat pumps versus traditional fuel sources can be well above 50 to 60%. We've found that in some cases this even included air conditioning costs in ther annual energy costs.
